Biker killed in Cromford crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a biker was killed in a crash.

At 9.46am today (Sunday, March 23) a black Kawasaki motorbike was travelling up Cromford Hill towards Wirksworth when it collided with a grey Toyota Yaris travelling from the car park of Slinter Mining.

A 60-year-old man received fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sgt Steve Hughes in the Roads Policing Unit quoting incident number 217 of March 23 on the non-emergency number 101.
