Children and staff marked more than a decade of fun and games at a toy library last week.
Crich Toy Library celebrated its 11th birthday with a huge chocolate cake for all to share on Monday, June 13.
The charity aims to make toys available to children across the region.
Toy Library manager Ann-Marie McMillan said that the birthday party had gone off with a bang.
She said: “Everyone had a fabulous time. It’s a fantastic landmark for the library and we’ve been going from strength to strength.
“We’ve got new members joining every week and everything’s going really well.”
The party was also an opportunity to say goodbye and thankyou to outgoing stay and play co-ordinator Cindi Blunt and to say hello to Vivki Wilding, who will be replacing her in the role.
Crich Toy Library is expanding and will be taking over the running and management of Belper Toy Library.
The library’s database of toys can be viewed and booked online by visiting www.crichtoylibrary.org.uk.
Ann-Marie added that the library is still looking for volunteers and that anyone interested can get in touch by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
