GREEN–fingered villagers have raised £2,000 for charity by opening their gardens up to visitors.
Twenty two gardens were on display as part of Stanton in Peak Open Gardens.
The money raised from the event will go towards Age UK and village amenities.
Sue Hobson, a member of the Stanton Events group, said: “It went really well.
“The school held a photo exhibition and we also had an exhibition of classic cars.
“People had stalls and they were selling homemade produce like jam and marmalade.
“The whole village pulled together.
“It’s one of the things in our village that 90 per cent of the houses contribute to.
“A lot of people were involved.”
