A body has been found in Chesterfield in the search for a missing man, police have said this evening.

Scott Longland, who was 27, was reported missing from Chesterfield on Thursday morning.

Hide AdPolice have now confirmed a man’s body was sadly found in woodland near to Somersall Park on Sunday.
A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “Formal identification has yet to take place but we believe the body to be that of Scott Longland.
“His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
“Our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time.”
The spokesperson added: “The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.”
