Boozy driver was unsteady
Officers saw the Vauxhall Astra pulling out at 10.20pm, on October 24, of the Old Hall Hotel, High Peak Magistrates’ Court heard.
While speaking to driver Neill Edward Cunningham they noticed he was unsteady and smelled of alcohol. He failed a breath test and at the police station provided a reading which exceeded the alcohol drink-drive limit.

Hide AdChecks revealed Cunningham only held a provisional driving licence. The 61-year-old, of Marsh Avenue, Hope, admitted drink-driving and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
Kirsten Collings, defending, said he was compliant and pleaded guilty plea at the first opportunity. Cunningham was fined £467, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £47 victim surcharge. He was disqualified from driving for 16 months.
