Business cash boost

The Coalition is to throw a £140billion lifeline to Small businesses, homewoners and banks in a bid to jolt the economy back into life.

The Chancellor, George Osborne, and Bank of England Governor, Sir Mervyn King, unveiled plans earlier this month whereby banks will be loaned money on the condition they pass it on in the form of cheaper loans and mortgages.

While the Chief Executive of the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce, George Cowcher, is pleased with the revelation he did also express some concerns about the governments new plans.

He said: “We still need more clarity on how these new measures will work and how quickly they will be implemented.”
