A CORRIE bad boy took time out of his busy filming schedule to unwind at a Peak District holiday park.
Actor Andrew Lancel, best known as Frank Foster in Coronation Street, and formerly as DI Neil Manson, in The Bill, enjoyed a three-day break at Darwin Forest Country Park, at Two Dales.
Andrew and his three-year-old son Isaac, stayed in one of the holiday park’s award-winning three-bedroom lodges.
Issac also had a chance to play in the indoor Little Monkeys play arena.
Andrew said: “As far as I am concerned Darwin Forest is the hidden gem for a holiday break in the Peak District. It is very impressive, with more than enough to do for our three day stay. I love to go on country walks in the outdoors and the leisure facilities were amazing.”
He added: “All in all we had a fantastic time and I will definitely recommend it to all my friends on Corrie.”
Marketing director Ian Grant said: “It was great to have Andrew and his family staying with us.
“It is easy to see why the Derbyshire Peak District and Darwin Forest in particular is such a popular place for all visitors, not just television celebrities.
“Because of our quiet location they have the chance to get away, relax and enjoy the area’s fabulous scenery.”
Darwin Forest was voted Hoseasons ‘Best lodge park in Britain’ in 2009.
It has a fitness centre, swimming pool, gymnasium, spa, sauna and steam room.
Activities include tennis, soft play, orienteering, adventure playground and mini-golf. Visitors can also enjoy mountain biking and the company has added electric bikes to its hire fleet.
