A school theatre built by Matlock building firm Wildgoose Construction has won two awards from the Royal Institute of British Architects.
The 400 Hall at Repton School has been crowned the winner of the RIBA East Midlands Regional Award in recognition of its architectural excellence and also won the RIBA East Midlands Building of the Year.
Wildgoose Construction has in the past been nominated for several awards for the ECO Centre at the National Stone Centre at Wirksworth.
Wildgoose has also previously won a RIBA East Midlands award for The Level Centre at Rowsley, home to First Movement, an organisation which develops arts projects for people with learning difficulties.
The building was also voted as one of the top 50 buildings constructed in the East Midlands in the last 50 years.
Wildgoose has been building in Derbyshire for more than 100 years and has recentlyhanded over 12 dwellings in Grindleford for Matlock-based Dales Housing. It is one of the oldest and largest family owned construction companies in the region.
