Summer has finally arrived, the sun is shining and the UK economy is showing the first signs of recovery.
And the Matlock Mercury is urging businesses across the area to make hay while the sun shines – on all fronts!
To mark the arrival of summer and better economic times your Mercury has launched a campaign to boost business across the Peak and Dales.
Our Summer of Love campaign is urging Mercury readers to help the local economy by spending their money locally, visiting our local tourist attractions and eating out at local pubs and restaurants.
We want to help businesses on our doorsteps kick-start their summer by helping them to find new customers.
Almost EVERY penny of a pound spent with a local business will be ploughed back into improving your town or village. Almost EVERY penny of a pound spent at a supermarket will leave the area for good.
On our regular Business page we regularly feature local businesses and their success stories.
The Mercury’s Phil Bramley said: “We are also encouraging businesses to use all aspects of our unrivalled reach – we’re so much more than just a newspaper, and we’re reaching more people than ever before – that can only be good for business.
“The redesigned paper, together with our great website, offer a fresh, quality platform for advertisers to promote their businesses and for people willing to spend locally to find what they want.
“The Summer of Love campaign is about harnessing the feel-good factor of summer, and giving the local economy a welcome turbo-boost.”
