a DROP-IN session for people to comment on proposals for the Meadows land between the A6 and the River Derwent in Belper attracted more than 400 people. Amber Valley Borough Council appointed consultants from East Midland Councils last October to take a fresh look at the site and the opportunities for development. They have produced an Issues and Options report.
The Have Your Say Day at the Masonic Rooms in Belper saw people vote on the proposals using sticky spots, adding their comments on Post-it notes.
If you missed the day you can still have your say by visiting Amber Valley’s website. The closing date for comments is April 9. A report will be available at the end of March, and comments will play a key role in forming the draft Supplementary Planning Document which will be out for consultation in the summer.
