New firm puts customers top

A customer care and management training expert is bringing her skills to the Derbyshire Dales.

Marylou Booth, who has worked for firms such as Pirelli and Sellafield, has re–launched her company, Training Works, in Wirksworth.

With more than 28 years of experience, Marylou has a history of helping business to make more profit by training their staff and managers.

She lived in Cumbria for 22 years and on top of working with larger companies, helped small firms such as hotels, accountants and solicitors.

Training Works can help businesses of all sizes become more profitable and retain customers by providing tailored staff and management training with an emphasis on improved communication in a wide range of areas.

Courses can be run by request in places such as Derby, Nottingham, Chesterfield, Mansfield and surrounding areas.

The workshops cover a host of customer service issues including customer care, dealing with difficult people and situations and writing excellent letters and emails along with a comprehensive selection of management training.

Marylou said: “I absolutely love Derbyshire.

“I miss the mountains and lakes of Cumbria, but that is more than made up for here by the better weather here and the friendliness of the people.

“I want to do all I can to help local businesses make more profit and become more successful.

“Worryingly for all businesses, up to 75 per cent of customers do not return to a business they have dealt with to become regular customers.

“Just think of all that lost business – hundreds of thousands of pounds of business that doesn’t come back, and the main reason is that the service was ‘just okay’

“Training Works specialises in making sure that the way a company communicates with their customers is not OK but excellent, so that customers come back time and again and make referrals to other people.”

As an introductory offer, Training Works is offering to provide ten businesses with a free report and recommendations for their organisation, covering the issues that could be improved within the company to enhance their internal and external communication, give them a competitive edge and enable them to make more profit.

The report would be ideal for companies with 15 or more staff.
