A Cromford-based music promoter has been honoured at an awards ceremony.
Steve Heap, the general secretary of the Association of Festival Organisers, based in Arkwright Mill, received recognition at the UK Festival Awards.
At a ceremony held at London’s’ Round House Theatre judges gave Steve Heap their Lifetime Achievement Award, for his services to the festival industry.
The award has previously been won by Glastonbury guru Michael Eavis.
Steve has led the AFO since its conception in 1987 and along with a family team runs his company Mrs Casey Music from their offices at Cromford. Their new promotion includes The Big Session Festival, to be launched next June.
