With over 150 stalls booked into Buxton’s Market Place, High Street and The Slopes, Spring Gardens and The Crescent, and another 70 plus located in the Pavilion Gardens, this year’s Spring Fair really will be bigger and better.

Volunteer organiser Janet Miller said: “We are very pleased to be welcoming back most of the people who had stalls last year, but even more pleased to have lots of new and exciting attractions.

“So for instance as well as the climbing wall at the top of the Slopes, there will be donkey riding in front of the town hall, an artificial cave to explore and other fun activities for children.

“And donkeys won’t be the only live animals, children can meet the meerkats and other small creatures on Spring Gardens, and we will have a small herd of alpacas on the Slopes. Down in the Crescent around St Anne’s Well we have a cluster of health and well-being stalls, plus the Sub-Aqua Club and Errwood Sailing Club are both bringing boats.”
