BAKEWELL Town Council has called for a comprehensive review into parking around the Station Road Industrial Estate following proposals from Derbyshire County Council to restrict waiting times.
The issue was discussed at Monday evening’s monthly meeting where one Station Road resident, Ros Stokes, voiced her concern at the county council’s proposals.
She said: “The businesses on the industrial estate have complained about getting their vehicles in. This will only push the cars into the residential streets all around.
“It’s just moving the problem along and not solving anything.”
Bakewell Town Council felt that any alterations to the parking structure of the estate should take the residents’ views into account.”
