CALVER: Crews rescue elderly crash casualty
FIREFIGHTERS and ambulance paramedics helped rescue an elderly casualty from the wreckage of a road traffic collision.
The crash happened on the A625, near Calver, about 1.40pm, on Friday, June 7, between a car and a lorry.
A Derbyshire fire service spokesman said: “The collision happened on a bridge over the River Derwent about half-a-mile from Calver.”

Hide AdFirefighters from Chesterfield and Bakewell helped an elderly male who had become traped during the incident.
The casualty was treated by the ambulance service and police also attended the crash scene.
Witnesses can call police on 101 to help establish exactly what happened.
