Supporters of an historical thoroughfare will be meeting next week.
The Friends of the Cromford Canal will meet for a social event at Ironville Church Hall, in Casson Street, Ironville on Monday.
The event starts at 7.30pm and entry is £2.
There will be talk by the group’s chairman Patrick Morriss entitled ‘The Duffield Bank Railway’.
The railway was built by Sir Arthur Percival Haywood in the grounds of his house in Duffield in 1874 and Patrick’s talk comes highly recommended.
