Car keyed in Matlock street

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car parked in a road in Matlock was keyed.

The vehicle was parked in Wellington Street when it was targeted between 6pm on Sunday, September 1 and 1pm on Monday, September 2.

The offenders caused damage to the car by running a sharp instrument along the driver’s side, gouging the paint down to the metalwork.

Police are increasing patrols in the area after the most recent incident, which comes after similar vandalism over the last few months.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who might have witnessed the offence or seen someone acting suspiciously in the area to come forward.
