Golfers have scored a hole in one for a worthy community cause.
Bakewell Golf Club, in Station Road, hosted a charity day to raise money for Bakewell and Eyam Community Transport Service.
The event proved to be a success, raising £1,300 for the service, as well as cash for St John Ambulance and the Midlands Air Ambulance.
A cheque for the amount was presented by the club’s two vice captains, Yvonne Vaines and Bob Straw, to Roland Butcher, a trustee for the service and on of the first ever drivers for it.
Bob said: “Every year there is a charity day at the golf club and the vice captains try to chose charities that are the best all round for the community as a whole.”
