Casualty is hospitalised after car overturns in Chesterfield

Firefighters helped a casualty after they were found in the wreckage of an overturned car.

The crash happened on St John’s Road, Newbold, Chesterfield, about 4pm, on Wednesday, July 30.

A Derbyshire fire service spokesman said: “Police and an ambulance were informed. One vehicle was discovered on its side. One casualty was in the car and East Midlands Ambulance Service helped make the vehicle safe.”

Fire crews made the crash scene safe and the casualty was taken to hospital by ambulance.
