CCTV: Images released after ringing the changes scam at Tideswell shop

Police have released CCTV stills of a man they would like to speak to after staff at a shop in Tideswell were tricked by a '˜ringing the changes' scam.

At around 2pm on Wednesday, July 27, a man entered the Co-operative store on Commercial Road.

As he made a small purchase at the counter, he asked the cashier to change some money. During the exchange of the cash, he is alleged to have confused the member of staff who was serving him and left with more money than he entered with.

Officers have now released CCTV stills of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
