Charitable shin–dig

Get your glad rags on and hit the dancefloor for and evening of entertainment in support of a disabled person’s charity.

Riding for the Disabled will host a fund–raising dance at the Edge Fold Club, in Edge Fold Lane, Matlock on Friday, November 23.

Doors open at 7.30pm and music will be provided by The Inflations as well as Soundwave disco.

The charity, which is based in Redhill Lane, Tansley, allowed disabled people from a 10 mile radius to ride ponies.

Richard Orme, whose daughter uses the charity, said: “These riders do gain a tremendous pleasure and derive considerable benefits from their sessions. They are run entirely by volunteers who are every dedicated and are real un–sung heroes.”

The charity is looking for donations of prizes for the raffle. Anyone who wishes to attend, or can donate a prize, can call Richard on 01773 718818.
