A new charity shop will be taking up a prime position in Matlock Bath this week.
The shop, which will help raise funds for the National Hereditary Breast Cancer Helpline, is being launched by Wendy Watson on Friday.
It takes the place of the former Gifts Galore shop in South Parade, which has been empty for months.
Wendy, of Over Haddon, near Bakewell, was Britain’s first woman to have both breasts removed in order to avoid developing breast cancer, which runs in her family.
She founded the National Hereditary Breast Cancer Helpline following her experiences and to date the charity has helped thousands of women.
If you would like to help volunteer at the shop, call the National Hereditary Breast Cancer Helpline on 01629 813000.
