Charity shops need donations

As the shop manager of the local British Heart Foundation shop in Matlock, I am always extremely grateful to the community for supporting us by purchasing items in the shop to help us raise vital funds to save lives locally. Unfortunately, the number of items we are having donated to us is declining, possibly due to the current increase in items sold at car boots and via Ebay. This has had an impact on our ability to raise funds and we’d like to appeal to the public for help.

With the Easter break coming ever closer, I would like to appeal to local people to have a spring clearout and donate their unwanted items to the shop.

For those who are unable to bring items to the shop personally we can arrange a FREE collection to ensure those vital donations are still making it into the Shop – making a huge difference to heart patients in the community. To book this free collection please call us on (01629) 55990.

Everyone can help by donating any unwanted clothing, shoes, accessories, CDs, DVDs, books, toys and bric-a-brac.

We will be open over the Easter break to organise collections.

Local support is so important to us, and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their ongoing support throughout the year. Your stock donations really do make a difference.
