We visited Chatsworth Park yesterday, and took a picnic with us down to the river’s edge.
The weather was stunning and people were out enjoying the sunshine and children playing in the river.
It was a fantastic day and everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves.
My disappointment came when people started to pack up for the day and leave.
Rubbish was strewn everywhere!
Plastic bags, cans, barbecues, bottles – you name it, somebody left it – littering the floor.
It saddens me that people could just walk away and leave the amount of rubbish behind that they did.
Please keep Derbyshire beautiful, enjoy the sun, enjoy the countryside but bag up your litter and take it home!
What do you think about litter in the Dales countryside?
Could we do more to keep it tidy?
