More than 1,000 people descended onto Chatsworth recently to cheer on runners in the Helen’s Trust Chatsworth 10K, 3K Fun Run and Teddy Bear Toddle.

The Duke of Devonshire officially started the two key races as well as the Mascot Challenge and Teddy Bear Toddle for under 5s.

Helen’s Trust President, The Duchess of Devonshire, presented prizes to the winners of the 10K and 3K which added further prestige to the event.

Lucinda White, Race Director said, “This year’s event was such a success, raising valuable funds for the Trust. We had sunshine, a fantastic group of runners and their families to support them and excellent support from all the volunteers, suppliers and sponsors who helped make this day so memorable.  Having the wonderful surroundings of Chatsworth truly makes this race one which the participants will remember, and with the undulating course, it’s certainly a challenge but also a fantastic sense of achievement too!”
