Chesterfield man seriously injured after being hit by car


A 51-year-old man has been seriously injured after he was hit by a car in Chesterfield.

The man, who was a pedestrian, was hit by a blue Ford Focus on Holywell Street, close to Donut Island in Chesterfield's town centre.

He was knocked to the floor and suffered a broken neck, cracked ribs and a compressed spinal cord during the incident on Friday February 17.

Police are now appealing for witnesses.
