Chesterfield Royal Hospital launches major employment drive

The Calow hospital is looking to employ 40 new nurses to work on nine wards.

The unprecedented employment boost comes after last year’s staff survey highlighted concerns about workforce levels on some wards and a reliance on agency nurses.

Hospital bosses conducted a review in response to the survey and concluded there was a definite need for more permanent qualified nurses on a number of wards.
