Traffic has come to a standstill at Lordsmill Roundabout, Chesterfield after a teen cyclist smashed into a curb.
The collision – involving a 17-year-old rider – happened at around 9.45am this morning (May 1). Police and fire services were called, and the rider was taken to Chesterfield Royal hospital, although police say his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The incident has caused traffic misery for motorists, as part of Chatsworth Road remained shut for an hour while police cleared the road. The road is now open, but traffic remains congested in the area.
