Corrupt postie stole over 3,000 letters and parcels

A corrupt Derbyshire postal worker tampered with over 3,300 letters and parcels in just one year.

The figures, uncovered by a freedom of information request, show from June 2010 to June 2012 four Royal Mail staff were responsible for withholding 4,323 items of mail - a staggering 3,327 of them by one postie alone.

During the three years one worker was prosecuted and three given formal cautions.
