Crash casualties hospitalised after Peak Forest road crash

Two crash casualties were hospitalised after two vehicles were involved in a collision in the Peak Forest.

The collision happened on the A623 Hernstone Lane, about 8.30am, today, Thursday, May 28, between a Range Rover and a Ford Fiesta.

A police spokesman said: “Police, an air ambulance and paramedics attended the scene.”

The male driver of the Range Rover suffered minor injuries and was taken to Stepping Hill Hospital, at Stockport, and the male driver of the Ford Fiesta was taken to Sheffield’s Northern General Hospital.

Police helped clear the road for other motorists by 9.10am.
