THREE people had to be cut from their vehicles after a two-car collision left them trapped and seriously injured.
Firefighters from Matlock and Chesterfield attended the accident on the B6001 road between Hassop and Calver at 3.15pm on Wednesday 11 July.
They had successfully released the people from their cars by 5.11pm.
An air ambulance had to be called to the scene to take two of the victims to Northern General Hospital, Sheffield, while the other casualty was taken by ambulance to Nottingham’s Queen’s Hospital.
Police were forced to close the stretch of road for a few hours while debris was cleared from the road.
None of the casualties are in a critical condition but remain in hospital to recover.
