Crich launches photo contest

Budding young photographers have been snapping pictures of local landmarks as part of a competition in Crich.

Junior school pupils learnt about photography as part of the contest, called “Images of Crich, its life and landscape” which has been organised by magazine, Crich Area Community News.

Head teacher Cheryl Julian said: “Children are going to be taking photos of each other playing, as well as going out into the village to take pictures of buildings and landscapes.”

Peter Patilla, editor of CACN. added: “There are wonderful archives of old photos of Crich Parish and to help inspire people to get their cameras out this summer for the competition.”

Closing date for entries is September 23.

There is a £2 entry fee per photograph. For more information go to www.cacn.org.uk/photocomp.
