The chief executive of a Matlock company dedicated to equality in the workplace has been charged with fraud.
Janet Lakhani, the chief executive of Committed 2 Equality, and Amyn Lakhani of Snitterton Road, Matlock, are scheduled to appear in front of magistrates in Cumbria in September.
The pair have been charged with fraud between September 29, 2008 and May 11, 2010 to the sum of £29,671.83.
They have also been charged with money laundering between the same dates and for the same amount.
The money involved was from a care fund granted to an elderly lady in Barrow-In-Furness, Cumbria.
The pair are scheduled to appear at Furness Magistrates in Barrow, Cumbria, for a committal hearing on September 1.
