Cromford man banned for drink driving

A CROMFORD man has been banned from driving for up to 32 months after he was caught more than three times over the legal drink drive limit.

Jonathan Glen Wibberley, of Bedehouse Lane, was also ordered to complete 60 hours of unpaid work in the community and to pay a total of £85 costs.

The 35-year-old was arrested by officers on Summer Lane, Wirksworth on Saturday, December 18 after they received reports of a vehicle driving erratically.

He was given a breath test at the roadside which measured 116 micrograms, more than three times over the legal limit which is 35mgs.

Wibberley has the option to reduce the ban if he completes a rehabilitation course. The ban was given by magistrates at North East Derbyshire and Dales Magistrates Court at the hearing on Wednesday, January 19.
