Derbyshire Police dismantle makeshift woodland den near Matlock after reports of antisocial behaviour

Derbyshire Police have removed a makeshift den from woodland near Matlock, which had been reported as a focal point for antisocial behaviour.

A spokesman for the force said: “There was lots of broken glass, rubbish and pieces of wood nailed together. It’s not an ideal location to hang about in after dark especially as the mud under foot was slippy.”

The plastic sheets have been taken down from the site near the Helicopter Park, Hurst Farm, and Derbyshire Dales District Council will complete the clean-up.

Anyone with concerns about antisocial behaviour in their neighbourhood should call the police on 101, or send a message via the Derbyshire Police website or Facebook page.
