After receiving an anonymous tip-off, cops seized the bike and helmet after spotting it abandoned in Midway on Sunday.

The rider had left his helmet and jumper on the vehicle, which has now been taken for forensic tests.

Police also discovered the bike had false number plates and had been pinched from Leicestershire in May.

Anyone with information which could help police with their enquiries should call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
