Man hit by car and airlifted to hospital as snow causes travel problems across Buxton

Derbyshire Police said they received emergency calls at 6.50am about a collision between a Mini Cooper and a pedestrian on Holker Road.
The spokesman said: "At the scene, we found the male pedestrian with serious injuries, and he was taken by air ambulance to Stoke Hospital."

Hide AdHe said the police officers are still at the scene as they continue with their enquiries.
The driver of the car is believed to be unhurt.
Snowfall in Buxton and Derbyshire has brought parts of the county to a standstill and a Met office weather warning for the area is in place.
Cars have been reported stuck and roads blocked with stationary traffic in both directions as people struggle to get to work on their morning commute.
