Police issue update on Chesterfield town centre incident that saw man hospitalised and three arrests

Further details on an incident in Chesterfield town centre – after which three people were arrested and another was hospitalised – have been issued by Derbyshire Police.

At around 2am on Saturday, December 10, an altercation between three men and a woman took place at Steeplegate in Chesterfield town centre.

A 31-year-old man suffered injuries to his head and face, and was taken to hospital – but Derbyshire Police have confirmed that he was not stabbed during the incident.

According to the latest update from the force, the victim currently remains in hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries.

A 27-year-old man, 33-year-old man and 28 year-old woman were arrested. Officers have asked anyone with information to contact Derbyshire Police using one of the below methods, quoting reference number 22*721626:
