A woman who stole from a gift store in Matlock is being sought by police.

At around 8.30pm on Wednesday, November 5, the woman entered the Designate at the Gate gift shop on Smedley Street East. She took a number of items including a purse, belt and a brooch, and left the store without paying.

The woman is described as white, 5ft 5ins tall and is believed to be aged in her late twenties to early thirties. She had brunette hair in dreadlocks and was seen to be carrying a green army styled rucksack around the time of the incident.
