Cromford chemist to close
A Cromford chemist is to close down following a severe lack of funding from the NHS.
B Payne & Son Ltd told the Mercury this morning (Friday) that the chemist could not survive as a business without the Government funding.
Owner Nick Payne said: “It is true [the chemist is closing]. This follows a severe lack of funding to pharmacies from the NHS.”
Mr Payne did not say an exact date for the closure.
