Little chick Marcella Finnan smashed the opposition in an Easter competition run by Twistin’ Tots.

Two-year-old Marcella, from Matlock, won a cuddly bunny and chocolate and wore her costume fit for the whole of the session at the town’s Imperial Rooms. Alex Harries, 3, from Stretton, landed the winner’s prize at the Wingerworth group with his Easter glasses.

Jacqui Davis, Twistin’ Tots leader, said: “All the other children received some chocolate treats, so there were no losers and everyone enjoyed taking part.

“It’s always great fun at our Easter sessions – the children love the Easter songs (we did Chick, Chick, Chick, Chicken with egg shakers and Peter Rabbit with actions), as well as our usual songs that the children enjoy – and it’s great to see the children joining in – Marcella really fit the bill with her

chick outfit!! Not all of the children would wear their bonnets though, despite parents’ hard work with them in making them!”
