CW Sellors, which has stores in Bakewell and Matlock, raised the cash for Movember in association with Maurice Lacroix watches.

The firm’s Christmas Wishes event at Chatsworth House was opened by Olympian Colin Jackson, the UK team captain for the charity for the second consecutive year who attended to promote it.

CW Sellors raised the funds by selling tickets allowing customers to be in with a chance of winning an exclusive limited edition Maurice Lacroix watch, designed especially for Movember.

The lucky winner of the watch, one of only fourteen made, was Bob Postins, of Cambridge.

Bob said: “I grew a moustache for Movember and come the end of the month, realised I hadn’t raised any money for the charity.

“I then went online and donated through the CW Sellors Jura watches website, which put me in the draw for the watch.

“I was surprised to receive the call and love the watch and I just hope we can raise further awareness and funds for the Movember charity, which is what it is all about.”

Movember committed to changing the face of men’s health and helps to fund programs working to improve the lives of men affected by prostrate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health issues.
