YOUNG people have been casting their votes for the next youth council.
More than 26,000 votes were cast in Derbyshire County Council’s Big Vote elections to fill the 56 seats on the Derbyshire Youth Council.
Will Spencer was elected to represent Anthony Gell School, Jordana Wood was elected for Highfields School and Isobel McNulty will represent Lady Manners School.
Nineteen youth council members will now be elected onto the youth council cabinet, with two members form each of the eight districts.
Cabinet members will be decided at the first meeting of the new youth council on April 28.
