Day to celebrate your national park

The Peak District National Park Authority will be celebrating European Day of National Parks on Saturday, May 24.

The theme for 2014 is ‘Parks for nature. Parks for well–being. Parks for peace.’

The event aims to bring people closer to nature and raise awareness about the value of natural beauty in protected areas and how important it is to conserve and manage them in sustainable ways.
