Fearless youth workers are taking part in training to help them deal with young people.
The ‘Fearless’ training, funded by Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner Alan Charles, is aimed at all those who work with young people, including police officers, teachers, voluntary organisations and safer neighbourhood teams.
A training session will be held at County Hall, in Matlock, on Novermber 27, and there will be Fearless ‘young people’s ambassador’ training with Derbyshire Youth Council on November 22.
The website Fearless.org is run by independent crime–fighting charity Crimestoppers and provides young people with information about the types of crime that are common to them.
Kiran Dhanda, East Midlands regional manager for Crimestoppers, said: “We want to reassure young people that information they give to Fearless.org about crime is taken seriously.”
