Derbyshire: Free access to weight loss clubs on NHS?

A national healthcare watchdog claims weight loss clubs should be made available on the NHS.

Guidance published by National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has suggested that as many as two–thirds of the population should have access to 12–week programmes at groups such as Slimming World and Weight Watchers,

NICE argues that in doing this, the country’s obesity rate, which is the second highest in Europe, could be brought down, and it would reduce strain on the NHS in the long-term.
