Derbyshire traffic: Roadworks cause queues on M1

Roadworks are causing queuing traffic on the M1 by the Chesterfield junction as people finish work for the week (Friday, July 4).

Between junction 27 and 29 of the M1 vehicles are moving very slowly.

Likewise, ongoing roadworks on the A38 at Little Eaton are causing queues southbound between the Coxbench Road junction and Little Eaton Island.

An accident means the A453 in Kegworth is partially blocked and there is heavy traffic at East Midlands Airport, because of an accident. Police are currently directing traffic.

An incident on A511 Horninglow Road North in Burton Upon Trent has meant traffic is slow between the Farm Road junction and the Wyggeston Street junction.

Problems with traffic lights have meant that vehicles are moving slowly on the B5010 Station Road in Stapleford at the Town Street junction.

A traffic light failure has left traffic queuing on Radbourne Lane northbound carriageway in Mickleover at the B5020 Station Road junction.

There is heavy traffic on A50 northbound between Coalville and Derby.

There are problems on the A635 Stamford Street eastbound carriageway in Stalybridge from the B6176 Rassbottom Street traffic lights junction to the Wakefield Road traffic lights junction.
