The Met Office has forecast a bright day for today, Thursday, May 28, in and around Chesterfield and the East Midlands.
It is expected to be bright but breezy with sunny spells.
Isolated showers may affect the north of the region, according to the Met Office, though most of the day is expected to stay dry.
The forecast also includes some wind which will keep temperatures down.
By tonight it is expected to stay dry through the evening before outbreaks of rain spread from the west through the early hours of Friday.
Top temperatures are expected to reach 13 degrees centigrade and lows of eight degrees centigrade.
