The Derent Pulse lights passed through Matlock Bath over the final weekend of the famous illuminations, continuing on to Cromford Mills.

They were carried through the mill complex and on to Cromford Canal to the delight of spectators.

Artist Charles Monkhouse, who came up with the project, said: “It was a night when the aesthetic coherence of Derwent Pulse was subsumed by the enthusiastic audience participation.”
