Derwent Valley bike ride in aid of wildlife trust

Staff at Derbyshire Wildlife Trust are preparing for their latest fund–raising challenge – a sponsored cycle relay around more than 300 miles of the county to celebrate the Trust’s 50th anniversary.

Starting at Wyver Lane Nature Reserve and finishing at Belper River Gardens, around 20 members of staff will be transporting the baton to every one of the Trust’s 42 reserves in a giant relay race taking four days from 30th August to 2nd September.

The riders hope to raise money for the Trust’s £50,000 anniversary appeal. The appeal aims to fund work on the Trust’s reserves to enable everyone to enjoy them now and in the future. To sponsor the team or donate to the fund call 01773 881188 or visit the 50th Anniversary page at
